Support in Recovery from Addiction

Strengthening Stability, Connection, and Healing
Recovery is not only about stopping a behavior. It is about understanding what has been driving it and learning new ways to cope, connect, and regulate emotions. I provide therapeutic support for individuals and families navigating recovery, with a focus on healing underlying emotional patterns and rebuilding trust within relationships.
People often seek support during recovery when they feel overwhelmed, disconnected from loved ones, or unsure how to move forward without falling back into familiar patterns.
How Support in Recovery Can Help
Therapy during recovery offers a place to slow down, reflect, and build emotional resilience while staying grounded in real-life challenges.
Through this work, clients often experience:
- Greater emotional awareness and regulation
- Improved communication with partners and family
- Increased stability during times of stress or transition
- Reduced shame and self-criticism
- Stronger support systems and accountability

My Approach to Recovery Support
My approach to recovery support is relational, attachment-focused, and informed by my own lived experience with recovery. I work to create a non-judgmental space where clients feel understood rather than defined by their struggles.
I help clients explore the emotional and relational factors that contribute to addictive patterns while building healthier ways to respond to stress, conflict, and emotional pain. When appropriate, I also work with couples or families to support the recovery process as a shared effort rather than an individual burden.
The Benefits of Recovery-Focused Therapy
Support during recovery can help create lasting change by addressing both the behavior and the deeper emotional needs underneath it.
