Couples Therapy

Helping You Understand the Patterns Between You
Couples therapy is a space to slow down and look at what is really happening between you and your partner. Many couples come to therapy feeling stuck in the same arguments, emotional distance, or cycles of blame and shutdown. In our work together, I help you understand the patterns that keep showing up and how each of you contributes to them, often without realizing it.
Couples seek therapy for many reasons, including communication breakdowns, loss of intimacy, parenting stress, breaches of trust, or the sense that something important has been lost along the way.
How Couples Therapy Can Help
Couples therapy is not about deciding who is right or wrong. It is about creating clarity, safety, and understanding so real change becomes possible.
Through our work together, you may begin to notice:
- Fewer escalations and more productive conversations
- A clearer understanding of each other’s emotional needs
- Improved ability to repair after conflict
- Greater emotional connection and trust
- New ways to communicate during difficult moments
As patterns shift, many couples feel more supported, understood, and hopeful about their relationship.

My Approach to Couples Therapy
My work with couples is grounded in attachment-focused therapy, psychodynamic understanding, and practical communication tools. I often help couples “diagnose the dance” of their interactions by slowing things down and identifying how reactions feed into one another.
I focus on helping couples de-escalate conflict, increase emotional safety, and practice new ways of responding in real time. I am supportive and empathetic, while also being direct when guidance is needed to keep sessions productive and focused.
The Benefits of Couples Therapy
Couples therapy can help you move out of survival mode and back into connection.
